Its official. There's a new street fighter in town. As in Ducati Streetfighter.
Ducati will be bringing a Streetfighter 848 to the unsuspecting masses, available in yellow, matte black, and, of course, Ducati red.
The baby Streetfighter's 848 engine isn't just a recycled pre-848Evo hand-me-down. Instead, this baby houses a modified Testastretta 11° engine that was first introduced with the Ducati Multistrada 1200. Here's to hoping it has the Multistrada's 15,000-mile service intervals too!
The Streetfighter 848 brings with it a diminutive price tag as well. At least by Ducati standards. While the price has yet to be released by Ducati, it could price in the range o the $12,000 Monster 1100Evo and $13,000 848Evo Superbike. Considerably less expensive than its big brother.
The Ducati Streetfighter 848 will be available in North America beginning in January, 2012.
Cheers!
