CCS Dispatches: PBIR, Florida, July 2011

Practice day at the Palm Beach International Raceway

Hot as hell.  So the weather is exactly what one would expect from a south Florida day the last weekend in July.

The bike is running well.  Which is exactly what one would expect from a machine tuned by resident Ducati Forza genius and service manager, Charlie Stratton.

Almost lost the front end three times.  Exactly what one would expect when a tire change is in order.

Changed the tire mid-day.  The bike not only ran well but the feeling from the bike and track improved markedly.  Which is exactly happens when the tire stays connected to the tarmac.

So what is new?  I'll be rolling out the exclusive, Drudi-designed, Arai Mayer Corsair helmet!  That has to be worth at least a few Drudi-fueled and Rossi-inspired seconds.

It is going to be a great weekend of racing.  Cheers!
