It won't be long before VW officially presents the 2013 Beetle Cabriolet, as according to sources, the world premiere is planned for the New York Auto Show this April ahead of an on-sale-date later in the year, but our scoop photographers snagged new shots of a nearly camouflage-free prototype while undergoing its final tests. The test car seen in these photos featured a trick disguise around the headlamps, the lower part of the front bumper and the taillights to make it look like the older model.
Just like its predecessor, the new Beetle Cabriolet, also known as a Convertible in certain markets, comes with a traditional folding soft top and seating for four.

Here are some of the first spy shots available of the 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet, and they are pretty revealing as the car is virtually undisguised.Spied in silver and wearing a soft-top folding roof, we can see that the cabriolet variant is looking to keep much the same roof line as the Beetle Coupe.
If you look closely at that soft-top roof you will also see that it is divided into several sections which means a folding canvass with a smaller profile when retracted that can either hang off the back of the car or be hidden completely.
The 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet is expected to debut in late 2012

It was only a matter of time before Toyota jumped on the crossover bandwagon. Meet the new Venza, a 'crossover sedan' powerful by 4- and 6-cylinder powerplants.Launched at the 2008 Detroit Motor Show, the Venza is expected to be a big seller.
While the new crossover vehicle is a Toyota in every respect - generic design, solid engineering - expect it to make significant inroads in the new car market thanks largely to Toyota's unbeatable resale values and image of reliability.
As the crossover vehicle type becomes more and more popular, taking the most sought after elements from an SUV such as ride height and interior space and combining it with the performance and ease of use of a sedan, it was only a matter of time before Toyota attacked the market.

"The all-new Dodge Dart is the showpiece for Dodge's next generation philosophy of interior design," said Klaus Busse, Head of Interior Design — Chrysler Group LLC. "The Dart interior takes the beautiful, precision-crafted interiors we rolled out last year and adds a little bit of fun with surprises of color, eye-catching ambient lighting and some really cool technology."Customization was key in the all-new Dodge Dart's development, and with 12 exterior colors, 14 interior color and trim combinations, seven wheel options, three engine options and three transmissions, each Dodge Dart can be personalized by every buyer to fit their individual style. And the combinations are multiplied exponentially, as Mopar® also will offer more than 150 customization options and themed packages specifically developed for the Dart.
The high-tech centerpiece of the all-new 2013 Dodge Dart is the class-exclusive floating island bezel, which houses the segment-exclusive available 7-inch Thin Film Transistor (TFT) customizable gauge cluster display with light pipe surround that also houses the available class-exclusive Uconnect® Touch 8.4-inch touchscreen Media Center - the largest touchscreen in its class.
Thoughtful storage options throughout fit today's technology. The glove box easily conceals a stowed iPad; the center console features auxiliary jacks to plug in a wide variety of electronic devices, and thoughtful, inventive storage solutions, such as center console side pockets, are perfect for storing mobile phones, receipts, or pens and paper.
Lighting in all the right places provides drivers and passengers a warm, comfortable cockpit. Available "racetrack" lighting surrounds the floating island bezel. Ambient lighting for the door handles, map pockets, foot wells, glove box, storage bin and illuminated cup holders is both useful and provides a warm atmosphere inside the vehicle.

The 2013 Dart’s instrument cluster has a large tachometer on the left and a fuel gauge on the right. In between the two is a seven-inch LCD screen that can be customized to show different types of data; in Dodge’s teaser photo, the screen shows the vehicle’s current speed, navigation direction, and the current song playing on the driver’s iPod. The Dart’s glove box, incidentally, is said to be large enough to store an Apple iPad. 2013 Dodge Dart

The dashboard is composed of organic, sweeping shapes that wrap around the Uconnect screen and instrument cluster, cues reminiscent of the Dodge Charger’s layout. Dodge says it will offer a wide range of customization for the Dart, offering a choice of 12 exterior colors, 14 interior trim options, and six different wheels. In addition to that, in-house parts division Mopar will offer a variety of option packages for the Dart.
The 2013 Dodge Dart will make its official debut at the Detroit auto show in January. The new sedan is based on Alfa Romeo’s Giulietta hatchback, and will replace the aging Caliber as Dodge’s smallest (and likely cheapest) car. The Dart will be offered with 2.0 and 2.4-liter inline-four “Tigershark” engines, as well as a turbocharged 1.4-liter MultiAir engine, with a choice of three different transmissions – one of which is expected to help the Dart return an EPA rating of 40 mpg on the highway.
